Pest Control, Exterminator & Wildlife Removal in Clinton, MA
Serving Worcester County since 1984
Clinton was first settled in 1654, as a part of Lancaster, MA, and incorporated as a separate town on March 14, 1850, It was named after New York’s DeWitt Clinton Hotel, a favorite haunt of Erastus Brigham Bigelow and his brother Horatio, the town founders.
Clinton turned into an industrialized mill town, with the Nashua River used as a source of power. Construction began on 1897 on the nearby Wachusett Dam, culminating in bringing the Wachusett Reservoir to full pool in 1908. This act flooded a large portion of Clinton, which had to be relocated. At Clinton in 1896, a significant feature of the Boston fresh water system was begun, with the creation of the Wachusett lake reservoir. Lying 385 ft. above the high-tide level in Boston harbor, the basin was excavated by ten years of labor. It had a capacity of 63,068,000,000 gallons of water, and was also the largest municipal reservoir in the world in 1911.
Here are some services Colonial Pest provides to Clinton residents:
Carpenter Ants: Ants cause more damage in Massachusetts than termites do. Carpenter Ants can grow to a half inch long. A Carpenter Ant colony will tunnel into damp and/or exposed wood, weakening structures, and possibly causing extreme damage in your home.
Termites: Termites are another wood-loving destructor you must be aware of in Clinton. Termites are attracted to wet areas, just like carpenter ants, and that makes Clinton and other nearby neighborhoods a prime target.
Bed Bug Control: These pests are always trouble in areas of dense population. A bed bug epidemic can spread especially quickly in the summer, so pay attention to the news. Despite popular belief, bed bugs are easier to kill than you may have heard. We use two separate treatments, spaced two weeks apart, to sufficiently kill all generations of a bed bug infestation.
Cockroaches: There are three kinds of Cockroaches: the American cockroach, the Oriental cockroach, and the German cockroach. American cockroaches can grow to two inches, and can be quite formidable nuisances. Unfortunately, cockroaches often come from your sewer system, which means they can carry diseases. They just climbed out of your sewer, and now they’re walking around your kitchen. That’s not good.
