Bumblebee

Bumblebees (Bombus spp.) are medium to large bees that are similar in appearance to carpenter bees but are distinguished by their dense “fur coat.” They’re distantly related to honey bees but their habits are different and colonies are much smaller, making bumblebee removal slightly less hazardous.

Bumblebees are primarily ground nesters, seeking shelter in old rodent burrows, in rock walls, beneath landscape timbers, and in sheds, but they also will nest in buildings.

Bumblebees are mostly beneficial insects, but nesting in unwanted areas, their ability to sting, and the fear they can cause makes nuisance bumblebee extermination an option for homeowners. If you need service for bumblebees, please call us @ 1-800-525-8084
