Colonial Pest Control has been providing expert bat removal for homeowners since 1984. We have a team of highly trained technicians and we use cutting edge technologies in our highly effective removal and exclusion methods. Because we are so confident in our work, we offer an industry leading warranty of 7 years on all our bat work.

Bats are unique in that they are the only mammals that are capable of true sustained flight. They are beneficial animals which consume insects such as mosquitoes and provide a large portion of the world's natural pest control. However, if these creatures of the night find a way into your home they can become a pest themselves. In order to protect the health of your family and the value of your home, you should call a licensed bat removal professional to handle the problem.

While bats are incredibly useful animals in the wild, they can harbor diseases such as rabies, and their Guano (feces) which accumulates in attics, can cause respiratory illnesses such as Histoplasmosis.

If you suspect that bats have taken up roost in your home, a certified bat removal and exclusion professional should be called. As bats provide a useful service by controlling insect populations, bat extermination is illegal. Therefore, modern bat control is a two step process involving live removal and then exclusion.

Bat removal is the process of working with the animal's natural habits to remove them from your home. What we do is seal off all entry points and install a temporary one-way door which allows the bats to leave, but not regain entrance. This is left in place until all bats have left the residence. This bat removal procedure is endorsed by the Bat Conservation International organization as a humane way to remove bat colonies.

Bat exclusion involves permanently sealing off all entry points that the bats can use to regain entry. This requires finding and repairing all cracks, crevices and holes larger than 1/4". Ridge vent systems are often found to be the entry point, as the plastic has been deteriorated or chewed away. Most companies use foam in a can to seal entry points. This method reduces labor costs; although the end result is often an unsightly job and the foam can breakdown quickly allowing access for the bats to return. This will often occur 2 or 3 years later, once your warranty with that other company has expired. We use high quality cobra vent which results in a clean professional job, and the material comes with a 40-year warranty.

Why Choose Colonial Pest Control:
